Samsung GT-S5570 (Samsung Galaxy Mini)

Hi, like what I said in my last post that I want to make some IT post, so here we come.. I change my mind, I said to post it in Indonesian language but it kinda hard, so I decide to make it on English language (but the Indonesia is still coming soon). 


Okay,so this is my second review about phone after my last review about Samsung Star. Tada!!! Anyone like to use android phone, maybe? I'm here to review about Samsung Galaxy Mini. I know, this is kinda out of date, but I think this is okay.. :)

So,  I start to curious about android phone because I watch Korean drama and saw many people there using android phone. Then I get interested more because many people talk about it, and it make me curious more and I ended with beging my parent to buy me one. 

I think I'm a newbie and doesn't really need a high class phone, so I decide to beg my parent buy me Samsung galaxy mini. Well,, I asking for blackberry phone too, but android is make me curious more so I pick Samsung. 

Short story, I have it already on my hand a several months ago (sorry for review it just now). If you think that this is a pretty cute phone with small size, you're totally wrong. Because it quite big compared with my previous presumption. But I think it quite comfortable with my hand. 

There is two color of Samsung galaxy mini, that is white and black with green strip. I wish for the white one, but my dad buy me the black one, but it's okay. Oh ya, tips for you who like to use samsung phone, I recommend you to equip them with hard case because of my personal experience using samsung, the casing is so easily scratched. And don't forget to complete them with anti-spy or something to protect the touch screen.

GENERAL NETWORK

This phone is work on GSM 850/900/1800/1900 and HSDPA 900/2100. 

Personal opinon : Well,, the network is pretty satisfying. 

SIZE

The dimentions is 110.4 x 60.8 x 12.1 mm and weight is 105 gr. 

Personal Opinion : It pretty usual I think. But I don't really likes the rounded body of it. 

DISPLAY

Type : TFT capactive touchscreen, 256K colors 

Size   : 240 x 320 pixels, 3.14 inches (TouchWiz v3.0 UI and auto rotate)

Personal Opinion : I satisfied enough with the display even it just 240x320 pixels. It good enough to view photos from gallery. 

SOUND

Personal Opinion : I think this is the only weakness of this phone. I know, that's kinda enough to have a 3,5mm jack with DNSe sound enhancement, but the output is not good enough as Sony walkman phone, or Nokia express music. But it's okay because the price is not really expensive.

MEMORY

Personal Opinion : I'm a bit unsatisfied with the internal memory because it just 160MB and 384MB RAM. It really small for me because I love to collect many application. But thankfully that you can also add a microSD card up to 32GB. Usually, you get 2GB microSD for free.

DATA 

Personal Opinion : It provide GPRS, EDGE, 3G, WLAN, Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP and micro USB v2.0. Well,, pretty complete, isn't it?? Too bad because I didn't get the cable data on my phone package. So I just transfer data via card reader for now.

CAMERA

There is a 3.15 MP camera with Geo-tagging features, and also can record video on QVGA@ 15fps quality.  

Personal Opinion : Yes, pretty good. And you can also download other camera application such as Vignette, Little photo, or Retro camera. Or you can also download editor photo application. I love using Adobe photoshop mobile (with these simple feature), and meitu (xiu.xiu).

Personal Opinion : Well,, android is a very interesting phone platform. You can get many benefits by exploring it. So, don't be a passive user. Try to explore it, you can download many application from Android market, or you can upgrade it. You can also play many interesting game with it.

BATTERY

Standard battery, Li-Ion 1200 mAH

Stand-by up to 570h with Talk time up to 9 h 30 min

Personal Opinion : Second weakness from this phone. The durability of the battery is run out quickly. Moreover if you use it for HSDPA connection. So, just be sure to turn off the using of packet data to save your battery power. :)

Well,, samsung phone is always make me satisfied. So do this Samsung galaxy too. Overall,, I rate this 7 from 10. :)
